Sea Level Re-Boot is our most iconic rubber boot, produced with a smaller footprint. The material used to manufacture Sea Level Re-Boot is carefully selected to minimize environmental impact. Both the outsole and upper are made of FSC-certified natural rubber, and the lining is made of recycled polyester. On the inside, the insole is made of BLOOM, a material created from the unique algae biomass extracted from ocean algae blooms. BLOOM is a new innovation that allows the recycling of harmful algae blooms from our oceans to create a sustainable material. When harvested and subjected to heat and pressure, it undergoes a process that makes it suitable for use as material in Sea Level Re-Boot. By 2050, sea levels could rise by 26 cm due to the climate crisis, a fact that is difficult to comprehend. Therefore, Sea Level Re-Boot has a measuring scale on the back to illustrate this. It serves as a reminder of the necessary changes that must occur—and the consequences if they don't. The proceeds from the sale of Sea Level Re-Boot go directly to the charity organization SEA LIFE Trust and their vital global work to protect the world's oceans and marine life, including the Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland. Sea Level Re-Boot is produced in limited quantities and sold exclusively at Tretorn.
